Join us in Montgomery, Alabama -where the fight for civil rights justice began- to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Montgomery Bus Boycott-A tribute to Rosa parks and ignite voices for a new movement- Ain't Gonna Ride

"Ain't Gonna Ride" was a rallying cry during the Montgomery Bus Boycott.  The title of a song written by the band director at Alabama State University, it became the defining call to action to boycott the bus system, which ultimately cast an international spotlight on the injustice of the segregated system and brought about positive change.

Southern Youth Leadership Development Institute in partnership with Alabama State University, whose professors and students played a pivotal role in the activities of the boycott movement and Troy University, home of the Rosa Parks Museum and replica of the bus Ms. Parks was on when she refused to get up, brings you a two-day celebration-A Tribute to Rosa Parks and a call to action summit, Ain't Gonna Ride.

Join us on December 4-5, 2015 in Montgomery, Alabama to hear from the original organizers who made an impact on the world 60 years ago and other stand out individuals who are making a positive difference in our communities today.
